Tanzim Ariyan

Hi, I’m Tanzim Ariyan — a filmmaker, photographer, and visual storyteller from Assam, India. My creative journey began with a simple mic and a podcast, but over time it has grown into something much deeper and more expansive. Today, I create cinematic films, raw street interviews, mini-documentaries, photo essays, and story-driven journals — all rooted in real, human stories.

Along the way, I’ve launched several projects that reflect the many sides of who I am and the stories I want to tell. Tanzim Unplugged is my personal storytelling platform where I share unfiltered street conversations, mini-documentaries, cinematic shorts, and behind-the-scenes content — inspired by creators I admire, like kk.creates and Unfiltered by Samdish. It’s where my heart meets the streets, and every story is told with raw honesty.

I’m also the founder of The Xonglap | Tanzim Ariyan Xonglap Journals, a blog and photojournalism project dedicated to capturing people, culture, and communities from Assam and beyond. It’s like a digital diary blending travel, culture, and personal reflection through stories and images. You can follow it on Instagram @thexonglap.

Besides storytelling, I co-founded The Guwahati Tribune, an independent digital news platform delivering unbiased, factual news and community updates from Guwahati, Assam, and Northeast India. Behind the scenes, I help craft content, manage branding, and guide expansion to build a fresh voice in media rooted in facts and culture.

I also work as a UGC creator under @iamtanzimariyan, partnering with brands to create authentic, aesthetic short videos and reels that blend my visual storytelling style with brand messaging — keeping the content organic and relatable.

All my work is created with minimal gear: just my Canon R10 camera, smartphone, and laptop. I rely on natural light, intuition, and hands-on editing because I believe stories matter far more than fancy setups. My goal is to capture moments that feel honest, meaningful, and real.

I don’t create for algorithms or applause. I create to document what feels true, to slow down time, and to preserve stories that might otherwise be forgotten. If my work makes someone feel seen, heard, or understood, then I’ve done my job.

If you want to collaborate, share a story, or just chat about creativity and life — I’d love to hear from you.
